Whether endorsed copy of a document may be obtained from the authorities based on the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance?

Answer:

No, according to the Article 5 of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public importance (“Official Gazette RS” No. 120/04 and 54/07), the right to free access to information of public importance shall comprise the right of every person to be, first of all, told whether authorities have required information of public importance (contained in the specific document), and then to put it on his disposal by allowing him to have insight in the document and/ or to provide him with copy of the document, directly through mail, facsimile, e-mail or in some other way, which does not mean the liability of the authorities to endorse it. The copy may be in the form of photocopy, audio or video cassette, floppy disk, disk etc.
