Public Information Commissioner expects the Government of Serbia to solve in due time the problem concerning access to information from the Concession Contract for Horgos-Pozega highway, in line with legitimate interest of our public. Estimating that many actions and statements of the responsible persons may cause dilemma regarding the factual condition, significance and scope of constitutional and legal provisions guaranteeing freedom of access to information, Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic pointed out:   

The Commissioner for information of public significance acclaimed the announcements of the competent people from the government of Serbia that the information about the materialization of the projects from the national investment plan would be significantly more accessible to the widest public in the future, including also their presentation on the internet. The Commissioner estimated that the announced measures could give very useful results and that it would thus be very important to materialize them as soon as possible. 

Many NGO representatives and media addressed the Commissioner for Information with regard to frequent ecological incidents in Serbian rivers, asking for legal status, i.e. possibility to access information on these events. In view of that, Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic stated:      

Commissioner for Information of Public Importance, Mr. Rodoljub Sabic spoke today with the Commissioner for Civil Rights Protection (Ombudsman) Mr. Sasa Jankovic on problems and experience in the field of civil rights protection and modalities for future cooperation. In observation that it is very important to promptly enable preconditions for initiating Ombudsman's work, Commissioner Sabic expressed personal readiness and readiness of the Commissioner's Department to provide support and assistance.
