and Personal Data Protection in May 2021
I. Case Statistics
In May 2021, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 735 cases, including:
- 481 cases in connection with access to information,
- 141 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 113 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office.
A total of 758 cases were resolved during this month (512 - access to information, 138 – data protection, 108 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
There are 3.512 cases pending (2.836 - access to information, 600 – data protection, 76 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
According to the available call records, a total of 2.188 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
