and Personal Data Protection in March 2022
I. Case Statistics
In March 2022, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 841 cases, including:
- 490 cases in connection with access to information,
- 223 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 128 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office.
A total of 1037 cases were resolved during this month (618 - access to information, 304 – data protection, 115 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
There are 2961 cases pending (2535 - access to information, 361 – data protection, 65 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions).
According to the available call records, a total of 2584 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
