of Activities of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in July 2022
I. Case Statistics
In July 2022, the Commissioner’s Office received a total of 750 cases, including:
- 499 cases in connection with access to information,
- 130 cases in connection with personal data protection,
- 92 cases relating to both areas of work and actions of the Commissioner’s Office,
- 29 cases relating to misdemeanor proceedings.
A total of 797 cases were resolved during this month (469 - access to information, 209 – data protection, 97 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions, 22 - misdemeanor proceedings).
There are 2937 cases pending (2575 - access to information, 256 – data protection, 47 – harmonisation and cooperation in both areas of Commissioner's actions and 59 - misdemeanor proceedings).
According to the available call records, a total of 1975 contacts with citizens and public authorities were made to provide advice on the exercise of the right to free access to information and with citizens and personal data controllers for consultations in connection with implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection and cases handled.
