Today, the Office of the Commissioner held an online lecture for student organizations from the Faculty of Law - University of Belgrade, the Student Association for International Cooperation and Social Relations Club, in order to present the work of an independent state body and the two rights it protects.

Students were acquainted with the history, organizational structure, and competencies of the Commissioner, as well as the legal framework of his actions. The lecturers presented the most illustrative examples from the Commissioner’s practice and provided statistical data in the field of access to information of public importance.

During the discussion on the Commissioner’s competencies in this area, there was a special emphasis on the exclusions and restrictions of the right to access information of public importance, especially regarding the application of these rights during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.
