Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has stayed today in  Brus. On the Public  platform regarding the Law on Free Access to Information  of Public Importance the Commissioner has spoken with the citizens, local media representatives and the NGO about the problems and results of the Law implementation.    

The Commissioner Mr. Rodoljub Sabic has  especially stressed anti-corruption significance of the public, and stated besides else:    
We must establish a relationship where, like in all  democratic countries, it is normal that generally, everything the government does shall be available to the public, that is, transparent to the eyes of voters and taxpayers.     
This principle should be valid in relation to all actions of the government, and in our specific situation, particularly in relation to utilization of material and financial assets.     
We shall not be at peace with the fact that, speaking about corruption, we rate unfortunately very high on international lists, marked similarly to for instance,  Tanzania, Eritrea or  Papua New Guinea.     
Corruption is definitively one of the greatest dangers we face, and so every request for raising the level of transparency, that is, for free access to information on using public funds is justified.
