EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: Commissioner Opens Office in Novi Sad
The Office of the Commissioner would like to inform the public that the official opening of the Commissioner's office in Novi Sad, will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, starting at 12:15 p.m. at Vojvode Šupljikca Street 21.
This is the first office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection to be opened outside the Commissioner's Head Office. There are plans to open two more offices, in Niš and Kragujevac, to make it possible for citizens from these parts of the Republic of Serbia to more easily exercise their rights determined by the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and the Law on Personal Data Protection.



On December 21, 2022, in Novi Sad, in the Ceremonial hall of the City Assembly of Novi Sad, the first training was held within the project implemented by the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Lawyers' Committee For Human Rights (YUCOM). This project is implemented with the support of the multi-donor project "Support for strengthening Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia" financed by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In front of the Commissioner's Office, Commissioner Milan Marinović gave the opening speech at the training, which was then held by Emina Kovačević, head of the Department for Supervision in the Commissioner's Office. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković and representatives of the Commissioner's office from the Sector for Domestic Cooperation and the Sector for Education, as well as the Cabinet of the Commissioner.
