In cooperation with the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of the Interior, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection organizes training for 400 Ministry of the Interior Information Officers.

15 trainings are planned for the coming period, and Slavoljupka Pavlović, Acting Assistant Secretary General, Sector for Complaints and Enforcement in the Field of Access to Information held the first two trainings on the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance for representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, on 24 and 26 June, at the Avala Training Center in Belgrade.

94 employees attended the trainings, and the central topic of the presentation was the handling of requests for access to information of public importance by government bodies, the mandatory content of the request, the action deadlines, and a special focus on the implementation of the tripartite public interest test and the practice of the Commissioner. The largest number of questions was about handling already published and available information, as well as individual cases.
