Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković participated in the European Workshop on Resolving Borderline Cases of Access to Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, held on 1 and 2 June 2026, and was organised by the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate in Estonia's capital, Tallinn.

In addition to the topic of the relationship between requests for access to information of public importance held by public authorities, on the one hand, and requests for the exercise of the right to access personal data, on the other hand, another topic of the workshop was the reuse of information of public importance.

Representatives of many EU authorities engaged in access to information of public importance and personal data protection participated in the workshop. In addition to participating in the workshop, the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner held a series of bilateral meetings with colleagues from other countries, discussing current problems in access to information of public importance and personal data protection, as well as possible ways to overcome them.
