Commissioner Milan Marinovic and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unkovic met today with the delegation of the OSCE Mission to Serbia. This is the first official visit of the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Jan Bratu to the Commissioner’s Office.

During the meeting, Commissioner Marinović presented the hitherto work of the Commissioner's Office and its competencies. The Commissioner especially pointed out the published Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance, the anticipated novelties and changes, emphasizing the announced greater powers of the Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner pointed to our initiative for the adoption of a new Strategy for the protection of personal data for the period until 2029, with an emphasis on the opening of the educational center of the Commissioner.

At the end of the meeting, the OSCE Mission pointed out that, continuing the excellent long-term cooperation, it will also support this year's organization of the International Right to Know Day, which the Commissioner is marking on September 28, 2021.
