Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković are participating in the Third Week of Education and Exchange of Experience and Practice in the Field of Personal Data Protection, taking place from 1 to 4 December 2025 in Brussels, organized by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA), the SIGMA Programme and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), with the support of the European Commission and the Council of Europe.

The event is attended by representatives of data protection authorities from the Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership regions.

On the first day of the event, participants had the opportunity to hear from representatives of DG Just, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Justice, about the current state of play regarding the transfer of personal data between EU Member States and other countries.

The participants then attended a workshop on algorithm development organized by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), after which they familiarized themselves with the EDPB's activities related to the processing of personal data by artificial intelligence.
