Prolecna konferencija3 002Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković attended the 30th Spring Conference of European Data Protection Authorities, organized by the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

This year's Spring Conference was organized from May 19 to 20 in Cavtat, Croatia, where 40 member countries adopted the Resolution on accelerating the ratification of Convention 108+, with the aim of protecting the privacy of people in the new digital age.

The resolution calls on the Council of Europe member states' governments, the Council of Europe third countries' governments, the European Union, and international organizations to expedite the signing and ratification process. The Republic of Serbia ratified the Convention on May 26, 2020. 

In order to better address privacy challenges, over-processing of personal data and data transfer challenges, with the use of new information and communication technologies, Commissioner Milan Marinovic and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unkovic held bilateral talks with representatives of other oversight bodies, exchanging practices and improving the level of protection of personal data. 

The next Spring Conference in 2023 will be hosted by the Hungarian Data Protection Authority in Budapest.
