3 May – World Press Freedom Day
Mr. Rodoljub Sabic, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, congratulated 3 May, the World Press Freedom Day, to all journalists in Serbia in letters sent to presidents of the Journalists' Association of Serbia (UNS), the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) and the Independent Journalists' Association of Vojvodina.
Expressing his best wishes for future success of journalists and the media, the Commissioner reaffirmed his willingness and duty to help them carry out their important social function.
In that regard, Commissioner Rodoljub Sabic also said the following:

In the conversation with the Commissioner, representatives of the group that gathers parents of missing babies after birth have expressed frustration because of the chronic lack of adequate measures that should shed light on a number of ambiguous situations. They pointed out that the recent decision of the European Court of Human Rights on the complaint of one parent is a confirmation that the state has not taken all the measures that were required, and that parents are interested in the truth more than the possible financial benefits. They thanked the Commissioner on providing help and asked for the continuation of his support.
The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection has submitted to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia the Report on Implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and the Law on Personal Data Protection in 2012. This report has also been submitted to the President of Serbia, the Ombudsman and the Government of the Republic of Serbia in accordance with the law.
