On October 22, 2025, lecturers from the Commissioner's Office, Marko Milošević, Marin Cetinić, and Ivan Trišović, held a training on the application of the Law on Personal Data Protection for building managers from the Kragujevac area, organized by the off-site Office of the Commissioner in Kragujevac. About 25 managers attended the training. The emphasis was on recognizing the data processing activities present in their sphere of business, as well as on the correct interpretation of the authorizations from the law that regulates their powers in relation to the provisions of the umbrella Law on Personal Data Protection. Here, the fact that managers are obliged to obtain the Personal Data Protection Number, without clear authorizations from the law, as well as the procedure and legal framework for installing video surveillance in residential communities, stood out in particular. The training ended in a constructive discussion, and colleagues from the regional office provided great assistance in organizing the training, inviting the target group, and providing premises, strengthening the Commissioner's capacities and making his services more accessible in this part of Serbia.

Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković are participating in the 10th anniversary SEEDIG Conference (South-Eastern European Dialogue on Internet Governance), a regional initiative that brings together interested government bodies, agencies, and business entities designed for an open and comprehensive dialogue on Internet governance and digital policies.

The conference, held in Athens this year, will discuss many topics, including the role of the highest state bodies in Internet governance, public administration, and public communications in the context of digital innovation and ethical issues related to artificial intelligence, human rights, and digital business, as well as the fight against harmful content and disinformation on the Internet.

On 8/10/2025, a seminar on improving access to environmental information was held in Bor, organized by the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.

The seminar brought together representatives of public authorities, the civil sector, and journalists to discuss the legal framework and obligations of public authorities regarding the provision of environmental information, the role of the Commissioner in the complaint procedure, and practices and challenges in access to environmental information.

Most of the day was dedicated to the practical work of seminar participants preparing specific requests for access to environmental information, and learning how to respond to such requests using practical examples.

The workshop was facilitated by Slavoljupka Pavlović, Acting Assistant Secretary General, Sector for Complaints and Enforcement in the Field of Access to Information, and Dina Đorđević, journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the Center for Investigative Journalism of Serbia (CINS).

The Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, Milan Marinović, and the Deputy Commissioner, Sanja Unković, participated in a study visit to the Data Protection Authority of the Republic of San Marino.

The Data Protection Authority of the Republic of San Marino (Autorità Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali) hosted a study visit, during which representatives from the Commissioner's Office, the Agency for Personal Data Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia participated. The study visit took place in San Marino from October 1 - 3, 2025.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the three personal data protection authorities is of particular importance, and the signatories agreed that the cooperation of the personal data protection authorities they manage should not be merely formal, but real, intensive, and continuous. The Memorandum was signed by Commissioner Milan Marinović, Dr. Dragoljub Reljić, Director of the Agency for Personal Data Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Umberto Rapeto, President of the Data Protection Authority of the Republic of San Marino.

The study tour also included a discussion on the importance of international cooperation in the functioning of personal data protection bodies from around the world, especially at a time of great challenges to the protection of this right caused by modern ways of personal data processing, and in particular by the widespread digitalization and data processing by artificial intelligence.
